The El Dorado

300 Central Park West, New York, NY, 10024

An Iconic Architectural Landmark

The Eldorado is the northernmost of Central Park West's towered buildings and is an iconic architectural landmark. Built in 1931 and designed by Emery Roth (who designed the twin-towered San Remo and the triple-towered Beresford) in collaboration with Margon & Holder, this art deco building overlooks the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in Central Park and contributes to the much-photographed skyline of Central Park West.

This cooperative building has impeccably maintained deco lobby and elevators, consists of about 30 stories and 208 units of grand two to four bedroom residences (many of which have been combined to create larger and even more palatial homes). The building's towers contain only one apartment per floor with 10-foot-high ceilings and fireplaces. Amenities include a handicapped-accessible state-of-the-art duplex fitness center, children's playroom, basketball mini-court, community room, garage, and white-gloved 24-hour doorman and concierge.

The Eldorado is located within the Central Park West Historic District designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, and is a contributing property to the Federally-designated Central Park West Historic District.
