993 Fifth Avenue

993 Fifth Avenue

993 Fifth Avenue is one of the last of Emery Roth's great prewar luxury buildings. This Italian Renaissance-style cooperative residence features a three-stone rusticated base, limestone exterior, sidewalk landscaping and a handsome, dark-wood paneled lobby. It sits a block and a half south of the entrance of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

There are 17 stories, only one apartment per floor, plus a stunning duplex penthouse, which has been subdivided. Two or three rooms in each apartment have a wood-burning fireplace. Each master bedroom is equipped with a dressing room, large bathroom, big windows, closets, arches and niches.
