25 Central Park West
Today the 32-story building is established as New York’s premier full service luxury prewar with a magnificent U-shaped lobby that has three attended entrances and surrounds a landscaped rear court. There are 411 units. The Century’s prime location is very convenient to Lincoln Center. There are numerous public transportation options, plenty of highly rated restaurants and good shopping at nearby Time Warner Center.
The Century was added to the National Register of Historic Places, as a contributing property to the Central Park West Historic District, in 1982 and is one of the three tallest structures within the boundaries of the district. It has been described as a “sophisticated essay in Art Deco design exhibiting a complex balance of horizontal and vertical elements", by the Landmarks Preservation Commission.
