106 Central Park South

106 Central Park South was originally the Barbizon Plaza Hotel designed by Lawrence Emmons in a Modern Classic style. The side top pillars of the building have been extended upwards to create an uneven impressive row around the top that propels the building skyward and the entire top has been gilded. 1988, Donald Trump acquired the building and converted it into a 340-unit luxury condominium. The building extends through to 58th Street and wraps around a smaller building on the southwest corner at the Avenue of the Americas that is now known as Trump Parc East at 100 Central Park South, a building that has its own entrance. The entrance to Trump Parc is full of polished granite and landscaping. The building offers spectacular views and is convenient to public transportation, restaurants and shopping as well as Central Park. This is full-service, white-glove luxury building with a 24-hour doorman, concierge, garage with valet service, porters, security guard, maid service available, washer and dryers and onsite laundry room as well as basement storage. Units range in size from studios (approximately 400 to 600 square feet) to large three-bedrooms (up to 3,000 square feet). Some units have outdoor spaces and all have high-ceilings, oversized windows and hardwood floors. Several units contain top-of-the-line, stainless-steel appliances and granite countertops, Italian marble baths (some windowed) and walk-in closets.
